Welcome to 2011!

Happy New Year!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful festive season. I had a fabulous time with family and ate far too much as usual! The kittens enjoyed climbing the Christmas tree which was fine until one of them climbed too high and fell off, dragging a couple of stars with her. Fun :-)

The weather has been scorching here for the last couple of weeks. I'm talking hitting the 100 degree mark, and our drought continues even as the rest of Australia is suffering from awful flooding. Today is cloudy and it's raining but the heat is still pretty stifling. With all the weird weather everywhere I'm trying not to think about 2012 :-)

Writing wise I haven't done any since before Christmas Eve, but I have been working on the Captive blog tour which starts... quite soon really!! I have a couple of guest posts lined up towards the end of January, and I'll give more details when I know them.

How is everyone? What did you get up to for NewYear's Eve? We ended up watching the latest season of Bones on DVD!!!

How weird is our weather, eh, Christina?

We have severe thunderstorms rolling across our skies this week - great for those of us addicted to watching lightning. Makes writing fun when you only get a couple of hours out of a laptop battery before you have to recharge (but can't).

Hard to get motivated after a layover of Christmas and New Year. And blog tours can be exhausting too.

Looking forward to seeing CAPTIVE on the shelves!

Happy New Year Christina - wishing 2011 is fantabulous for you and yours.

And yes, agree the weather is weird. Though at least here, there haven't been too many over 35 degree days in a row. It goes up and down. Stinking hot on Christmas day and NYE, and tomorrow is meant to be a scorcher too. Oh the joys of living in Australia.

Though the poor people in Queensland with the floods.

Christina,
Happy new year!! Nice to see you are having a 'break' from writing (wink wink) promo is a time sucker that's for sure!

Kylie, I'm giving myself just another couple of days to concentrate on the blog tour posts then I have to get back into the wip!

And it looks like from May this year Forbidden and Captive will be released in Australia - so I might really and truly get to see my books on the shelves!!!

Thanks, Eleni!!

Even yesterday when it rained (a little) it was very close and muggy, very uncomfortable. A lot better today, thank goodness although we could definitely do with more rain.

Hi Mel, promo certainly takes up a huge chunk of time. I look at my diary and seriously can't believe we're in 2011 already!!

So much fun. I feel today as though I'm still on holidays, but I know the coming days I'll be butt to the seat. :)
