Captive by the Kitties

My author copies of Captive arrived the other day! I still get a thrill when the FedEx van pulls up on the drive. My daughter's kitties were mildly interested but far more excited when I gave them the emptied box to play with!

Happy Australia Day!

How cute! And what a fab book cover! It must be so exciting to see that box of books come in the mail.

Aww! My one cat loves when I get boxes from Amazon. He hovers until I put the empty box down where he can hop into it. Once he's in he gives me this look of superiority that just screams "I am invisible, you cannot see me! Mwahaha.".

Christina, how your kittens are growing!

I think boxes and cats are genetically linked somehow. I don't believe there's a cat alive who won't investigate the contents of a box, even an empty one!

I had an empty fan box (one you assembled yourself) lying on the floor. I was just finishing putting the fan together and walked past the box lying on its side on the floor when a paw whipped out to ankle tap me as I went by.

I spent the next ten minutes playing with my cat and the box - scratching the sides and making her chase the noise around inside.

Hmm, which reminds me of a good kids story called "My Cat Likes Boxes". I must go dig it out...

Hi Emma!! They are very cute :-)

Phillipa, I'm besotted by those kitties and never mind doing kitty-sitting duties!! LOL, yes, they're a bit young to read my books yet!!

Hi Kaye!! I love the cover, it's so dark and atmospheric. Exactly right for Bren and Morwyn's story!!

Rhianna, I can just imagine that! Cats give such regal glances, don't they? So funny!!

Kylie, it's so hard to resist playing with them! Boxes and kitties definitely go together. These two are also fascinated by my keyboard! Hey I don't know that book, I'll have to look it up!

LOVED forbidden, very steamy and men in skirts- fabulous ;)

and my kitty looks like the one in the lower picture- her name is Pixie, what are these cuties named?

Christina Phillips said...

The top one is Miri, short for Miracle. She was the runt of the litter and was sooo tiny - she's still smaller than her sister. The bottom one is Ava (short for Avalon).

It's so funny, just five minutes ago I was calling them for dinner and Pixie is one of the names I was calling!! She looks like a pixie :-)
