Blogger Help.... Not Much

A week ago, I was suddenly unable to access a good friend's blog. Well, that was annoying but weird things happen in cyber space so I put it down to a temporary glitch.

The next day, still nothing. I'd reach the page and watch everything load in the nav bars, but then instead of seeing the Adult Content Warning I'd be left with a blank page.

Okay, not so temporary then. And as the week progressed I was denied access to a couple more blogs in exactly the same way.

By this time it's fair to say I was doing my nut!!!

In sheer desperation I went on my husband's computer. Not that I thought it would make any difference. And yet it did. I could access my friends' blogs without any problem at all (and thank god for that) BUT that's not the point!!!

Why can't I get on them from my computer?

Has anyone tried contacting Blogger Help? HA HA! There's a joke! I think I managed to send them something, but am not betting on it. So instead I had a look through their Forums and discovered others have experienced this problem - all stemming from the beginning of last week.

It seems some viewers have trouble accessing blogs with an adult content warning. It appears IE7 or Firefox Mozilla might eliminate that problem, otherwise the only alternative suggested was to remove the warning from the blog. My question is WHY??? Why has this suddenly become an issue and why the hell can't anyone contact Blogger (or Google or whoever runs the thing) to let them know?

I had this same problem. It first started with my own blog, I couldn't view it and then I can put posts on it, but others were viewing it just fine. I haven't been able to get on a few blogs either for days, one for weeks. I wasn't sure why. I haven't changed anything on my computer, it's the same as it was when I first visited these blogs. So, honestly I'm not sure what the problem is. If you figure it out let me know! If I find anything out I pass it your way.

Tonya, OMG that's awful you couldn't see your own blog. It seems my problems are on sites which have the Adult Content Warning - a friend disabled hers today and now I can see her blog no problem.

I just hope Blogger support manage to figure out the glitch, but at the moment I don't think anyone can actually reach them!

I'll be sure to pass on any info I discover!

Thanks for your input!

I haven't had this problem with any blogs, and a lot of the blogs I frequent have the adult gate. But I've heard from others who are experiencing this same issue. I took my gate down. The only issue with my blog (www.helensheroes.blogspot.com) is that I sometimes post adult excerpts. I'll just make the warning very clear when I post these, and all should work out fine.

So sorry you've been having problems!

I haven't had problems yet. But I sure am sorry there are those who are experiencing them. I agree though-- blogger is no help-- all computer answers. Same with yahoo, google, etc. So I too think there should at least be a way to get answers either via email or live chat or something.

My system had been playing up for the past couple of weeks but with my emails, and it drives me nuts.

I've had some trouble, too, lately. Same thing...it goes to the site, but then I get a "Done but with errors" message at the bottom of my screen. Very frustrating!

I also had the same problem Christina. It is a nuisance, especially if your needed somewhere. lol..
I truly think it's blogger fault but haven't emailed them to verify this.
It is so frustrating.

That sounds frustrating. I bet they've done something and have only realized after bloggers have complained. You'll probably find you'll be able to magically surf blogs as usual soon.

That recently happened to me, Christina! And I've never had that problem before.

Hopefully the problem will eventually filter through to Blogger and they'll fix it. Thanks for stopping by, ladies!

Christina. I wish I had the answer. I sometimes get the same problem with certain blogs.

I've never had any issues. It is a huge bummer when you can't get something fixed or help in doing so. UGH!
