Monday Morning Blues

I don't know what's up with my Internet connection lately, but it's on a definite go-slow mission to see how far it can stretch my patience before I explode. It's not another virus (at least I'm pretty sure it's not) since the other computers in the house are also suffering.

Then I had major issues yesterday morning uploading a few minor tweaks to my webpage. A five minute job took me over an HOUR and let's just say the air was an interesting shade of purple. I'm not at all techie minded and it takes me forever to work out something which probably is glaringly obvious to most other people!!

Oh yes, and I can't find my glasses so am now peering through my old ones. On the up side I'm collecting my new ones tomorrow, and they are a lovely bright red pair (hopefully this means I won't keep losing them - ha ha yeah right!)

And we have severe weather warnings! Everything is flickering and the shutters are banging!!!

Hi Christina,
I thought you were AWOL. Sorry to hear about the storm coming. Hang in there. As for your glasses I'm sure they'll turn up.

The Internet has been slow over here as well, then suddenly faster than fast. Like all tech things, unexplained things happen in the the world of cyber.

Enjoy the rest of your day. :)

Hi friend-- I'm back finally. Sorry about the stormy weather-- while we bask in a heat wave in the eastern States.
Bad old internet problems.

Glasses? Nice new ones for you. Oh boy-- at least you didn't lose your nephew's glasses like I did! Talk about spacey, lol.

Have a good day anyway.

Hey there

We’re finally getting some sun here after really bad storms and incessant rain, but internet problems? I’m tempted to just delete the whole darn thing, because I can you know – see what it does then, huh? So I hear you!
As for glasses, hubby insists I need some. I insist I see everything the way it should be seen. He says that’s exactly why I need a pair – so I can see everything the way everything one else does. I insist I’m not conforming!

Hope you get rid of all the blues from your Monday, and enjoy your new specs – you’ll be seeing everything very passionately indeed, it being red!

Hugs
April

Glasses turned up - in my husband's coat pocket. On Friday he lost his - we searched everywhere. I found them when I took the washing out of the machine!!! I swear that wasn't my doing!!!

Suz, I'm sure the internet has a mind of its own!

Kaye! So glad you're back!

Hahhaa April - that made me laugh!

Phillipa I keep jumping between Firefox and IE, but they are both being a pain in the A!

I was having problems with my wi-fi cable modem. It was in the dining room (where the Foxtel outlet is) and on occasion (well compared to dialup!) it would just slow right down, and get snarky. Well it seems that if you have any form of crystal between the computer and modem, the signal can't always get through. So the lovely tech men decided to put a cable straight to my computer. Only once has it been slow since then and I think it was the universe telling me to get off the net and give the modem a break!!

Hope it all gets resolved soon and stay safe with the weather.

Hope everything gets better for you soon! Just keep chanting to yourself, "I got an agent, I got an agent." LOL Or at least that's what I'd do for a good year or two when I needed cheering up. ;)

OMG Eleni. that's fascinating. I'll have to check the cable and see if any crystals have been moved lately (we have so many various crystals here, it's very possible!) Thanks for the tip!

Heheh, Helen! I'm glad about that!!

Cari, you're so right! I do keep telling myself that. I keep telling my husband that too but I think the novelty has worn off for him already!!!

Yikes, it sounds like you have a mischievous imp hiding out at your place. We're having lots of rain too. :)

Nothing worse than when the 'puter gets the go slows. Happens to me every afternoon from 3pm when school comes out. I've given up trying to do anything then.

Ooh, and have to say your website looks fab! Absolutely adore the background. What an evocative picture.

Shelley, the rain's stopped for now, and it's freezing! As in, frozen windscreen every morning!

Thank you so much, Cathryn! I love that pic. And for some reason so does my husband!!!

Monday mornings are like that sometimes. Makes you wish you'd stayed in bed and woke up on Tuesday instead.
