3. Open to both un-published and published authors.
4. Post the link back to Sneak Peek Sunday so that others can hop along.
5. HAVE FUN!!

This is a scene from my upcoming erotic paranormal romance, Bloodlust Denied. The hero, Alexius, has just discovered Morana again, three years after their first erotic encounter.

But there was no mistake, as her evocative fragrance spun through his senses, intoxicating tendrils igniting his mind. For a second he froze, unable to believe that after all this time he’d once again found her, but there was no mistake. His body had only ever reacted so violently to Morana’s presence.

Lust stirred deep in his groin, thickening his shaft, arousing his anger, heightening every sensitized nerve.

She meant nothing to him. Yet their fleeting encounter in a squalid back alley obsessed his thoughts and corroded his reason. He should have taken her blood when he’d had the chance, and then she would have been like all the others he’d claimed.

Forgotten.

Instead the memory of her body plagued him, the recollection of her voice haunted him and the circumstance in which she had left him tormented his sanity.

Tonight she would not escape him. Tonight, vengeance would be his.

Coming on 7th June from Ellora's Cave

Tired of the thin-blooded aristocrats in 1815 London, Alexius yearns for better sport. He is drawn to a dark-haired seductress who shows no fear and refuses to obey his commands. Entranced by such novelty, he denies his bloodlust and decides to keep her to warm his bed.

Immortal vampire hunter Morana has never mistaken her prey before, but the dark stranger mesmerizes her, enticing her to forget everything but the dangerous pleasure she finds in his arms.

Neither one can deny the pull of the other, but there is something beyond the lust—a recognition neither can put a name to. The past and present collide and unless they discover the truth behind the lies, Death will triumph once more.

Inside Scoop: Silk makes much softer shackles than iron, but is just as binding as our lovers engage in light BDSM sport with spanking and mild submission in this risqué Regency story.

Sneak Peek Sunday ~ BLOODLUST DENIED

Welcome to Sneak Peek Sunday for 5th May!

Today I'm showcasing six paragraphs from my upcoming Ellora's Cave release, Bloodlust Denied, a dark Regency vampire romance.

This scene is from the start of the book, where the hero, Alexius, first sees the heroine, Morana.

The refined garden square of St James faded into the distance, and the dank underbelly of London rolled over him like a fetid corpse. Whores called out to him, reached for him, their already dead eyes following him. But tonight they weren’t enough. Their polluted, weary blood offended his senses and revulsion skittered along his spine at the thought of slaking his hunger with any but the one he sought.

He turned into another dark alley, the stink of decay and despair wrapping around him in an unwelcome caress of death. But threaded through every beat of this misbegotten city her scent throbbed, rich, vibrant. Closer.

So close he could taste the sweetness, savor the texture, feel the thick luscious fluid as it pumped down his throat. Lust stirred deep in his groin, thickening his shaft and the haunting melody of a single violin scarcely penetrated the heavy thud of desire that pounded through his temples.

And then he saw her, captured in the flickering light of a single lantern. Long black hair cascaded down her back and slender arms arched above her head as her lithe body undulated to the exquisite strains of the violin.

She appeared oblivious to her captivated audience, and Alexius ignored the dozen or so drunken men gathered around her. They were of no consequence. This woman was his, and he intended to have her.

The intricate crescendo sank into his brain, pounding in tandem with escalating lust. The woman spun faster, heedless of the broken cobblestones, heedless of his deadly intent. Focused only on her own pleasure in the music, in the movement, in the sensuous cocoon she wove.

Coming on 7th June from Ellora's Cave

Lured by blood, driven by lust, Alexius is fascinated by the dark haired seductress who shows no fear and refuses to obey his every command. Entranced by such novelty he denies his rabid bloodlust. Instead he’ll keep her to warm his bed until he tires of her ready tongue and tempting body.

Immortal vampire hunter Morana has never mistaken her prey before. But the dark stranger mesmerizes her, enticing her to forget everything but the dangerous pleasure she finds in his arms, until reality intrudes and she flees his addictive embrace.

When Alexius unexpectedly finds her again he’s determined to exact retribution for the way she vanished three years ago. Abduction, bondage and decadent seduction feature in his plans, but before the sun rises dynamics have shifted and he’s the one fighting the silken bonds of captivity.

But as they fall under each other’s erotic spell the past and present collide and unless they discover the truth behind the lies, Death will triumph once more.

Sneak Peek Sunday ~ BETRAYED

Welcome to this Sunday's Sneak Peek where I share six paragraphs of my debut release from Ellora's Cave, Betrayed.

A Druid priestess is captured and enslaved to a Roman tribune who must decide whether his loyalty lies with his heritage or the woman he suspects may be Rome's deadliest enemy...

Nimue is recovering from having an arrow removed from her shoulder, and is still under the influence of the pain killing opium. Tacitus is doing his best to resist her charms :-)

Languidly she brushed her fingers over the uncompromising line of his jaw. He was rough, and chafed her skin. Entranced, she rubbed her hand along his jaw again, and again the roughness caused tingles of desire to dance through her blood.

“Why not?” If only she could see his face properly. From recollection, his face was worth looking at. She was sure his body was too.

“Because I’m on duty.” For a fleeting moment, he glanced down at her, and the blatant lust glowing in his eyes caused raw need to bloom deep between her thighs.

Her lips parted, but it didn’t help her deprived lungs because every jagged breath held a subtle hint of foreign spices that fogged her reason and heightened her desire. Tendrils of fire wove through her blood, curled around her nipples, flickered with sensuous intent through her quivering sheath. He would not chose duty above her when she craved for his touch on her burning skin. When she ached to be filled by his tongue and his cock.

The image pounded against her temples and again she moaned. She imagined him spreading her thighs and impaling his length inside her wet folds. If he did not take her soon she would shatter from unfulfilled need.

“Are you in pain?” Once again he was looking straight ahead She turned her wrist and dug her nails into his face, and satisfaction spiked when once again his gaze clashed with hers.

In 51 A.D., Druid priestess Nimue is injured and enslaved by the hated Roman Legions. Even though she is drawn to her captor, she’s determined to escape and complete her mission for the Briton king and her duty to Arianrhod, the goddess she is bound to.

The tough Roman warrior who captures her is far from the brutal barbarian she expects. His touch inflames her desires and passion burns between them. Though Nimue does not accept her enslavement, her heart surrenders to her enemy. When Arianrhod appears to her in the form of an owl, Nimue knows the union is blessed.

Roman warrior Tacitus is enchanted by the fiery beauty who shows no fear and challenges him at every turn. Though enslaving her goes against his heart, he’s determined to make her his. No woman has ever heated his blood as she does. But when he discovers her true nature as one who actually communes with the gods, his loyalties are torn between his heritage and a woman who could destroy everything he’s ever believed in.

Sneak Peek Sunday ~ TOUCH OF THE DEMON

Welcome to this Sunday's Sneak Peek where I share six paragraphs of my short erotic paranormal romance, Touch of the Demon. I hope you enjoy Rafe and Celeste!

Rafe has been sent back in time to neutralize a threat to the future. When he meets his mark, Celeste, instead of carrying out his orders he falls under her seductive spell. This is a snippet from the scene soon after they meet:

“You don’t know how to listen.” But she turned her head slightly, so his palm grazed against her jaw. He drew in a sharp breath and satisfaction sliced through her. He wasn’t immune to her, any more than she was to him.

It meant nothing. Could lead nowhere but hell. And yet she still couldn’t draw back.

“Why don’t you try me?” His thigh pressed against hers, hot and unyielding. She refused to retreat, instead returning the pressure and hot darts of lust pierced deep within her womb.

“I wouldn’t lower myself.” She flattened her hand against his chest to push him away. His heart beat beneath her fingers and, instead of repelling him, she pressed against the cool linen of his shirt as the heat of his body warmed the fabric.

His fingers caressed her face then speared through her hair. She gasped in shock as her head jerked back.

“You don’t have to beg.” His voice was hoarse, his dark eyes glowing with lust. Instead of terrifying, the vision inflamed. “You only need to ask.”

Bad ass dark angel Rafe travels back in time to destroy the woman who is fated to bring untold chaos to the cosmos. Instead he finds Celeste, a child of the Earth Goddess, who is sworn to protect the one Rafe seeks.

He mistakes her for his quarry, but an irresistible attraction prevents him from taking her soul. And although Celeste holds the one weapon capable of banishing Rafe from Earth forever, she’s unable to deny the overwhelming desire to possess this creature from hell.

They come together in a frenzy of passion, each believing they are changing destiny by their actions. But when the Earth Goddess appears they discover her plans are more far reaching than either had imagined.

Sneak Peek Sunday ~ FORETASTE OF FOREVER

For the Historical Novelists Four Day Book Fair please scroll down to the next post!

Welcome to this Sunday's Sneak Peek where I share six paragraphs of my short erotic paranormal romance, Foretaste of Forever.

He hauled her to her feet. “And now it’s your turn to entertain me.” There was no hint of reluctance in his eyes now. Only love. For her. She wrapped the knowledge around her heart and knew it wouldn’t be long before Ben made the final commitment to her.
* * *

Ben allowed Elyesha to pull free from his grasp and, as she flung back her head, her midnight black hair brushed the stone floor. He ached to bury his face in that silken cloud, tangle his fingers through the wild curls, and salve his corrupt heart in the heat of her embrace.

Instead he remained perfectly still and watched her sensuously gyrate to a rhythm only she could hear. Slowly she peeled the calf length summer dress from her body and desire stabbed through every atom.

She was wearing a black lace corset threaded with scarlet ribbon, a scandalous piece of lingerie that enhanced the curve of her hips, the feminine dip of her waist, and her sinfully tempting breasts.

Hands on hips, she struck a seductive pose. “Do you like what you see, my lord?”

He raised one hand. “Come here.” He barely recognized his voice. When she didn’t immediately obey, he made an imperial gesture of haste and Elyesha smiled, as if his aristocratic hauteur pleased her.

Powerful witch Elyesha finally finds the only man she’s ever loved, the man who deserted her countless years before. But Ben is torn between desire and despair when Elyesha, his only love, discovers his retreat. He abandoned her to save her but how can he resist her seductive embrace when she offers him everything his shattered soul craves?

He knows what she wants. But the price is too high. He’ll take what she offers for one last night – but as their erotic encounter unfolds so too does the devastating truth.

"Christina Phillips does a magnificent job at creating an eerie, haunting atmosphere."

Sneak Peek Sunday

Happy Sunday! welcome to my very first Sneak Peek Sunday :-)

This snippet is from my debut release with Ellora's Cave, Betrayed.

Enjoy!

Lucius Marius Tacitus saw the arrow impale the water sprite, saw her enchanting green eyes widen in shock, but before he managed to leap from his horse, she tumbled to the ground.

White fury lanced through his chest as he sheathed his sword and knelt by her side. She still breathed. But she was not conscious.

“Sir, are you harmed?” The mounted auxiliary rode to his side, his bow in his hand. Tacitus gave him a scathing glare.

“Harmed?” Derision dripped from the word. “By the hand of a girl?”

The foreign auxiliary glanced at the fallen Celt. “She’d drawn her dagger. I thought her about to attack you.”

Tacitus's fist clenched. By the gods, he'd string that Gallian auxiliary up by his balls if this Celt died from her injuries.
