I've just hit 73k on my current book which means I have about 20k to finish. However, there's still a long way to go before my hero and heroine get their happy-ever-after and I'm not convinced they'll make it within that word limit! I also want to finish before the RWAus conference in four weeks time (which means I need to finish in three weeks time) so I don't need to worry about it while I'm in Sydney.
And speaking of Sydney, I am sooo excited about the conference. I've not been to an Australian one before so it's going to be all new for me, plus a fabulous chance to meet up with on-line friends in the real world. I'm taking my camera and there will be photos!!!

is it Captive that you are working on? Good luck if it is, and i can i say that the more the merrier! Have a great time at the conference. I will be going to the Romantic Times Convention next year in Los Angeles, and i am really stoked about it!
Thank you, practimom! This isn't Captive, it's set in a different century but still quite ancient :-)
I've heard such great things about the RT Convention - how fantastic you're going next year!!
Hey Christina,
I never realised you hadn't been to an RWOz conference before! Just assumed, guess I shouldn't have. :-) Looking forward to meeting up with you there. Are you also heading to NZ for the RWNZ conference?
Congrats on nearly being there with your latest WIP! 20K is doable in 3 weeks - call it a dirty draft. Then put it aside to enjoy conference.
Hi Kylie, nope I've never been to an Oz conference, so it's all new to me this year!!! Unfortunately I can't also make the NZ one :-( But am so looking forward to seeing you again!!!
Not long to go to finish your current book. Well done Christina.
And I'm looking so forward to meeting you in person in Sydney!!
Great going Christina,
Woo Hoo! All the best. Conference not long now. Yah! :)
Eleni, I can't wait to meet up with you too!! Do you think we'll mention BSG??? :-)
Suz, not long now - I've started packing!!!
You sound very busy. I'm going to try and get to RT next year in CA as well. Easy-squeezy with me living in So. Cal and all of that. lol
Can't wait to catch up with you in Sydney, Christina.
Good luck with finishing your wip in time.
Hi Catherine! That would be great to get to RT next year, especially good without too much travelling involved!!
Cathryn, me too!!! As for the wip, I'm starting to think I'll be lucky to finish by 100k... wordy, much *sigh*
