I received a lovely email today from my editor *squee*! She suggested shortening the title His Forbidden Princess, which might give the wrong impression of the book, to Forbidden.
After I thought about it for a few moments, I realised she was completely right. Much as I love the previous title it doesn't immediately conjure up the essence of the story, whereas Forbidden sounds dark and powerful and sexy! When I told my husband (who generally offers no opinion on such matters!!) he made a point of telling me that he really liked it.
What do you think?
And also I'm thrilled that Berkley are bringing forward the release date to September 2010! OMG. That's not far off at all!!!

Oooh, I love it, Christina! Can't wait until 9/10! :)
Oh, and I loved your links to the writing sex articles. Great stuff, thanks!
Congrats on the release date, Christina! Love the new title.
HIS FORBIDDEN PRINCESS makes me think of harems for some reason whereas FORBIDDEN makes me think risque.
I've already said it Christina - but I LOVE that title!!! Amazing how one word can conjure up so much =)
Thanks so much, ladies!
Emma, that's interesting you said that. I really love the word Princess and was very happy with the title, but I do think FORBIDDEN is much stronger and a great fit for this book.
Love the title Christinia. I think FORBIDDEN hold strength and conveys your story much more.
Suz :)
Okay, yes! I love Forbidden. Lots of us love it, lol.
And wow on the release dates--not long at all.
Thanks, Suz and Kaye - lol Kaye, I agree! It's a great word to have in the title!!!
