The Wild Rose Press SONY eReader

I've not come to a standstill on my writing, but it's slowed down quite a bit this last week. It would be nice to say it's because I'm doing revisions but that would be a Big Fat Lie and very wrong of me. It's going to be tight to reach the 50k goal by 30th June but I haven't given up the race yet!!

I received the score sheets for the MTE contest and the encouraging comments from the judges were just amazing. It gave me added enthusiasm to dive back into the story and it's great to know complete strangers actually enjoyed my writing and wanted to read more!!

In other news, The Wild Rose Press are holding a drawing to win a SONY eReader, which looks rather fabulous. Full details are here.

There's nothing better than positive reader feedback to propel enthusiasm. :)

Hey - great to hear you got fantastic feedback from the contest. Can't wait to hear who the winner is! Fingers crossed, hey? I entered a contest a while ago and didn't final but had absolutely NO constructive feedback. Most of the remarks were glowing... one (who didn't give me top marks) said 'This is the best book I've read in a long time!' Go figure.. not really helpful at all!

Hi Christina,
Thanks for your comments on my blog.. It's been a big month this June, but well and truly enjoyed...
I believe in contests as long as one can stand back and look deeply into what the judges have to say.
Not only the good feedback, it is the bad feedback you have to adhere to... this is the path to correcting what one thinks is right but not... but, make sure a few judges comment on the same good or bad thing, then your on your way.
All the best,
Suz:)

Christina Glad you got good feed back for your competition. I'm also glad you haven't given up on reaching the 50ks. I'll be there with the bomboms to cheer you on if need be.

Hugs

Barrie, I'd never considered an e-reader before, but the other week a friend showed me hers and can we just say lust at first sight? They are adorable!

Rach, oh wow that is really so unhelpful. There's not a lot you can take from that, is there?

Suz, it sure has been a busy month!! And you're right about the judges feedback, it's invaluable.

Sandie, in Magnus Magnussum's of Mastermind's immortal words, 'I've started so I'll finish' LOL! And I like bonbons so that helps!!!

LOL Sara!!!

Gail, I will keep going but I'm not going to hit the 50ks by midnight Monday. I'm still very happy by what I achieved this month though, so it's all good!!
